This car was designed for just that; it was designed/developed by Ford Motor Co. and Carol Shelby, and test-driven by Ken Miles, becoming a weapon at the 24 Hours at Le Mans, going toe to toe with Ferrari and winning with a GT40 only podium and knocking them off the throne, and cementing the GT40 as one of the greatest US sports cars.
